Bree e Phyllis vanno a fare visita alla tomba di Rex, ma le due scoprono che l'uomo è stato riesumato. Così Bree, indignata, si lamenta e Phyllis confessa di aver scordato di dire alla nuora che l'investigatore dell'assicurazione ha il sospetto che Rex sia stato avvelenato. Bree, arrabbiata, prepara immediatamente le valige di Phyllis e la rispedisce a casa. Intanto dice tutto ai loro figli, che non le credono. Così, per discolparsi completamente, decide di compiere la prova con il poligrafo. Tutto risulta essere apposto, ma quando viene chiesto a Bree se ama George Williams, la donna risponde negativamente, ma la macchina non è d'accordo. Così Bree si dirige da George per pregarlo di fare il test, perchè la polizia, adesso, sospetta che i due abbiano cospirato per avvelenare Rex. Quando george chiede cose non sia andato nel test di Bree, la donna confessa l'accaduto, dicendo che forse prova per lui qualcosa. George accetta di fare il test.

Carlos dice a Gabrielle di non essersi mai scusata per il tradimento, ma la donna risponde di aver fatto ciò perchè Carlos non l'amava, mentre John si. Più tardi, nostalgica, Gabrielle segue John al lavoro ma scopre che il ragazzo ha un'altra relazione. Così, infuriata, esce dalla macchina e, di nascosto, taglia tutti i fiori del giardino che John stava curando. Quando John l'affronta, Gabrielle confessa di aver tagliato il prato, però lei dice di essere indignata di ciò che aveva visto, poichè credeva che John l'amasse ancora. Il ragazzo, prontamente, dice che scaricherà l'altra donna, se Gabrielle vuole tornare con lui. Gabrielle però dice di non amarlo più, così si dirige in prigione e chiede, veramente, scusa a Carlos.

Quando Lynette chiede a Nina un giorno di ferie per accompagnare Parker al primo giorno di scuola, Nina le ricorda, ancora una volta, che i figli non devono interferire con il lavoro. Così Lynette compra una webcam e un cellulare per seguire Parker durante il primo giorno di scuola. Ma improvvisamente Nina indice una riunione, quindi Lynette sfrutta tutte le possibilità (addirittura fà rovesciare una tazza di caffè sulla gonna di Nina) per accompagnare virutalmente Parker a scuola.

Susan è furiosa quando scopre che Edie si sta esercitando con Julie per accompagnarla ad un concerto in chiesa. Così chiede a Betty di insegnarle qualche canzone con il pianoforte. Susan costringe Julie a scegliere fra lei ed Edie e alla fine la ragazza sceglie la madre. Il giorno del concerto, mentre le due sono sopra il palco, Susan vede Edie tra il pubblico e, sentendosi in colpa per quello che aveva fatto, chiede alla donna di suonare al posto suo. Edie accetta, anche se non sà suonare il pianoforte.

;Mike và a trovare Felicia, che è tornata dopo essere stata in ospedale per l'aggressione di Zach. Mike le chiede se sà dove potrebbe essersi rifugiato il ragazzo, ma la donna si mostra diffidente.

- Vediamo per la prima volta il volto dell'uomo che Betty ha rinchiuso nello scantinato. E' interpretato da Page Kennedy.

Mary Alice: Over the years, Bree Van de Kamp had grown increasingly concerned over her mother-in-law's forgetfulness. Her lapses had become more frequent, more glaring, and more dangerous. Yes, Bree was worried about Phyllis' faulty memory, but she was more than happy to remind her, especially when it came to the important things. It was in that moment Bree could finally see the truth. Her mother-in-law's memory was fine. It was her soul that was faulty.

Lynette: I've got this thing...
Nina: Good God, this is not about your kids again, is it?
Lynette: I know, I promised I wouldn't do this, but Parker really needs me to be there on his first day of kindergarten. He's so freaked out I can't be there.
Nina: I'm sorry. How is this my problem?
Lynette: Because we can't escape the fact that I have kids. I love my job, but to be fair, there's gotta be some balance.
Nina: Okay, how about the people that don't have the kids? Did you ever consider that they might need a little more balance in their lives, hmm? Like, maybe they want to go see a matinee or perhaps they want to come in a little late after a big crazy night out or maybe they just want to get a haircut, which I, myself, have not been able to do for two months. So, no, this is about fairness to the people who are childless by choice, okay?
Lynette: Okay. Good point. And I'm sorry about your hair. I can see why you're upset.

George: I don't understand. We're just friends. Why would the police assume that people in a platonic relationship would want to murder someone?
Bree: Um, um, during the test, they asked me some questions about you and, um, us and whether we had a relationship and I said yes, because it's true. And then they asked me about something else, something I hadn't considered.
George: Which was?
Bree: They asked me if I loved you.
George: What did you say?
Bree: I said no.
George: Oh.
Bree: But according to the polygraph, that wasn't exactly true.
George: Well, I don't, I don't know if that means anything. Polygraphs aren't completely reliable.
Bree: I think perhaps the machine picked up on something, something that I wasn't aware of.
George: Wow.
Bree: That's why I need you to take the test and answer the detective's questions, because I'm not going to know exactly how I feel until we put this behind us, but then, once we do...
George: We can move on.

Edie: No, but I have talent, and to most audiences, talent trumps family.
